Notes and Specifics
I should probably add a Formal Warning: My encounters are not friendly when I don't GM a friendly campaign, this is not the friendliest of Campaigns, this will be survival and exploration. You try to survive while you explore. I will apply my knowledge of ecosystems to this, and it may not always be pretty. You have been Warned.
Pokemon Storage and Pokedex: The Pokedex will not only provide you with information about the things you encounter/catch (EXP!) but also houses the Pokemon Portable Storage System (PPSS).
While you are out and exploring, keeping yourself, along with your Pokemon, fed will be one of your goals. A pokemon will need 1 Meal a day at the very least, else it may lose Loyalty to it's trainer and/or suffer a penalty in Combat Stages to it's stats until it's fed again.
A pokeball does not mitigate hunger, the Pokedex' Storage does, essentially the Storage is full stasis while the Pokeball is only partial Stasis.
So while trainers are not obligated to Store their Pokemon, it may be a better choice, given the availability of food.
Storing a Pokemon with the PPSS is an Extended Action that requires 5 Minutes, in those 5 minutes the trainer must not be focusing on it, but the PPSS can only do the storing. For each additional Pokemon being stored after the first, add 1/2 a minute to the time required to complete the Process.
To retrieve a Pokemon from Storage it requires an Extended Action of 5 Minute duration, again, you don't need to focus on it, you just can't do anything else with your 'dex in that time. For each pokemon retrieved beyond the first, add 1/2 minute to the duration of the process.
The basic Pokedex Storage is 60, you can obtain additional Storage for a price.
Pokemons stored in the PPSS heal while stored.
A pokemon will heal 1/8th of Max HP per hour.
If a Pokemon is stored fainted, it will heal 1/12th Hp per Hour, until it returned to above 0 HP, at which point they will heal again at 1/8th HP per hour.
A pokemon with Injuries that is stored will first have to return to it's new Max HP value, after that it requires 3 hours to remove 1 Injury.
For each lasting status affliction (Burn, Frozen, Poisoned, Badly Poisoned, Paralysis, Sleep) it requires 1/2 hour of rest in storage.
Storing and Selling interesting objects: During your adventure you may find valuables...crystals or some such. Of course those are valuable, but there wouldn't be much point if you needed to go back up after every few miles just to sell, so there is the Transport Vendor, like the PPSS this is a Storing and Transporting system which functions similarly. Things of value can be sent to your "Storage", and if you deem something interesting to sell, you may tag it as "For Sale". Essentially a small auction starts where interested parties bid on the object, you getting the profits of that transaction, which you can use to buy basic things. Basic as in common potions and Pokeball.
The storing of objects part takes 1 minute per Object, flat value, except for large or extraordinarily bulky/dense objects...those will be my discretion to assign values. Essentially anything that will fit into a 1' cube requires a minute to be stored. The time necessary to sell it varies with value and popularity and some other factors (Essentially a random roll with modifiers based on the object). Base storage is 80 objects, exceptionally large object may take up more space. Buying is an Extended action ranging from 1 minute (Common Potions, X-Series, Pokeball, inexpensive misc objects) to 1 hour (Specific, rare TM, high price held object, most equipment). This includes transport time. Some Items may not be present, or require extended search. Searching for an Item like that requires full attention.
